Day 8: Superstars Align in Charleville

On the eighth day of our epic journey, we trot into Charleville for the inaugural Outback Sounds— a one-day, family-friendly music festival proudly reigning as the pinnacle event of The Outback Trail.

Outback Sounds will transform the Charleville Showgrounds into an outback oasis, where the spirit of music, arts, food and community bursts to life. To start Outback Sounds with a bang, we've mustered a star-studded line-up featuring a plethora of Australia's most loved musos.

Renowned indie-rock heroes Ball Park Music are leading the charge, alongside distinguished alt-rock luminary and Something For Kate frontman Paul Dempsey. In tow are folk sensations Pierce Brothers, country-pop rising star Taylor Moss and alt-country powerhouse Tori Forsyth, ensuring there's a tune for everyone to tap their boots to.

In between sets, have a squizz at the plethora of market stalls hosted by local vendors and discover a treasure trove of goodies ripe for the picking. And when your taste buds beckon, bog in to delicious eats from the diverse array of food stalls scattered throughout the site.

Outback Sounds isn't just a festival; it's a celebration of music, creativity and the warm spirit of community, all set against the stunning backdrop of the Queensland outback.

Gates open at 1.30pm, with performances from 2pm - 9pm.

Alcohol will be available at our licensed bars, proof of age will be required, and alcohol is only permitted to be consumed within the licensed areas. This event is strictly no BYO alcohol or food items.

Camping is not permitted at the campgrounds during the event – if you're searching for somewhere to pitch your tent, check out Cobb and Co and Bailey Bar Caravan Park.
