Savannah in the Round is a musical feast of over 45 acts (200 artists!) spanning three jam-packing days and four nights - and with two rounds of the Great Northern Bullriding Series now included, it just keeps getting better! Camp from one to five nights, or catch a coach from on the multiple locations across the Tropical North to make it a day trip.
The Mareeba Rodeo Arena (also known as Kerribee Park) is the proud home of Savannah in the Round. Located just 7km from the centre of Mareeba in the Cairns Hinterland on State Route 27 - the main north/west road to the Gulf Country, and the start of the world famous 3,700-kilometre road trip across the top of Australia from Cairns to Broome, Savannah Way. The event takes place 66km from Cairns Airport, or about an hour’s drive.
Your festival armband gives you admission to the festival precinct and your designated seating area (whether general admission or grandstand seating). You are free to move around the festival precinct, including a front of stage area to enjoy Main Stage performances. Main Stage operates between 4:00pm and 11:30pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Savannah in the Round will also program two support stages; the Big Top Music Hall and the Bull Bar – each of which operates across the day from mid-morning, and after Main Stage until late.
Savannah in the Round offers campgrounds adjacent to the festival site, 24/7 security, medical support, and toilet/shower facilities. Additionally, your camping armband gives you access to a free shuttle bus service between the Mareeba Rodeo Arena (the festival site) and the Mareeba town centre from Thursday to Sunday (inclusive).
