Tropics Trail

The Queensland Music Trails adventure will continue all the way up to the state’s Far North this October. With Yarrabah Music & Cultural Festival having already reached full capacity on October 7, the Tropics Trail has added another stellar event to its itinerary! Shine On Gimuy is a major new First Nations event, led by Indigenous Creative and Cultural Guides who will bring a stunning art display to the Cairns waterfront on October 5 through 15. Savannah in the Round brings some of Australia's most iconic artists and up-and-comers to a Rodeo grounds in Mareeba for the most fun 3 days you can have up North! 

Shine On Gimuy

A journey of immersion, exploration and connection to the world's oldest culture, Shine On Gimuy will be a multi-artform event that illuminates the streets with light shows, soundscapes, art installations, programmed talks and music performances that capture 60,000 years of history, science, tradition and stories untold.

Yarrabah Music & Cultural Festival

Kick back for Australia's most idyllic coastal music festival, Yarrabah Music & Cultural Festvial. Heading up the stage this year is Jessica Mauboy, Electric Fields, Jessie Lloyd and Yarrabah's own Yarrabah Brass Band! 

Explore traditional Gungganji cultural practices and workshops, enjoy delectable flavours and soak up the grooviest sounds emerging from the Yarrabah community as they share the stage with some of Australia's icons. The free event has a spot on the calendar for locals and travellers alike, bringing together those who love a good boogie and celebration of the world’s oldest living culture, all set amongst tropical Far North Queensland.

Savannah In The Round

The Mareeba Rodeo Arena (also known as Kerribee Park) is the proud home of Savannah in the Round. It’s located just 7km from the centre of Mareeba in the Cairns Hinterland on State Route 27 - the main north/west road to the Gulf Country, and the start of the world famous 3,700-kilometre road trip across the top of Australia from Cairns to Broome, Savannah Way.
