In October of 2023, the QLD Music Trails adventure continued into Far North Queensland through iconic music events and artists and spectacular visual art installation.

#2023 Tropics Recap

What a year we've had! From the outback to the tropics we've delivered some incredible first-ever events to Queensland this year. And we're going to take some time to look back at everything we've accomplished before we start looking ahead to do it all again next year!

Our Tropics Trail has been an enormous success bringing iconic musicians, stunning and immersive light installations, intimate performances and powerful deep wisdom talks to the Cairns region.

We kicked the Tropics Trail off with Shine On Gimuy at Cairns Esplanade with a Calling Country Ceremony honouring practices that haven't been witnessed in over 100 years, leaving its audience awestruck and deeply moved. Shine on Gimuy also launched inspiring Deep Wisdom talks with respected scientists and indigenous knowledge holders, intimate first nations performances and a journey of immersion, exploration and connection through light installations and soundscapes.

Finally taking the stage at Yarrabah Music & Cultural Festival was Jessica Mauboy! We've been trying to get back to Yarrabah since 2019 and we're proud to have made it there this year! Headlined by Jess Mauboy, Electric Fields and the Yarrabah Brass Band this incredible day was well worth the wait.

And finally, for those after something a little heavier, some of Australia's most iconic artists took the stage for a truly rocking weekend in Mareeba for Savannah in the Round!

We're so incredibly proud that we were able to support these events in Far North Queensland and we can't wait for 2024!
